VIA Riyadh, one of the most luxurious zones of Riyadh Season, was formally introduced during an exclusive event on Tuesday evening the 28th, leading up to its official opening in mid-February. This distinguished area encompasses a luxurious five-star establishment, the renowned St. Regis hotel, high-end fashion boutiques, a state-of-the-art cinema, an array of fine dining establishments, cozy coffee shops, and a global culinary market.
At VIA Riyadh, connoisseurs of fine dining can indulge in a culinary journey featuring Michelin-starred restaurants such as Gymkhana, a tribute to the exclusive clubs of India, and Spago, the brainchild of Austrian-American celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck.
The complex also boasts exclusive stores, including those of American fashion luminary Brandon Maxwell and the globally celebrated Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab.
The cinema within this locale is an epitome of entertainment, offering seven private halls, each catering to different viewing experiences. Among them, the Tuwaiq hall stands out, designed to provide a home-like ambiance while incorporating cutting-edge audiovisual technology. Another option, the Secret Garden, offers the epitome of luxury with top-tier reclining seats.
The construction of VIA Riyadh, notable for its Salmani-style architecture, spanned 20 months, as reported by Al Arabiya. This unique architectural style is characterized by six fundamental values: authenticity, continuity, human-centricity, livability, innovation, and sustainability. The meticulous planning of this precinct was under the direct supervision of King Salman bin Abdulaziz. Situated near Riyadh’s Diplomatic Quarter, the vicinity is surrounded by lush green spaces, featuring trees as ancient as 850 years.
Prominent figures and media personalities, including Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Tourism Minister Ahmed al-Khateeb, Khalid al-Malik, the chairman of the Saudi Journalists Association’s board of directors, and Iwai Fumio, Japan’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, attended the inauguration ceremony. Impressed by the design of this district, Alalshikh tweeted a video that hailed it as “a beautiful masterpiece in our beloved Riyadh… that will [reflect] the status of our precious Kingdom for hundreds of years to come.”
