Hamza Iskandar, the cancer fighter, may God rest his soul in peace was well known for his optimistic attitude towards living a normal life and wining a battle against cancer which he eventually did. Hamza Iskandar lived a normal life after he was cured and sadly passed away due to a sudden heart disease which has no relevant to his past sickness.


The Red Sea Channel; is an online business guide which provides solutions and motivation to business, communities and individuals which gladly took the initiative to meet up with Hamza Iskandar in 2014 where he presented his personal vital role in fighting his disease and a setting a segment of motivation to all the concerned candidates who are either struggling with diseases or encountering difficulties or obstacles in their lives.

In 2018, Red Sea Channel had reconstructed the previous filmed episode with Hamza Iskandar by indulging new participants consisting of well-known figures from the community to shed lights on this important topic.

An event took place with a large gathering consisting of different segments from the community headed by Mrs. Nosheen Ahmed the mother of Hamza Iskandar who added more glamour and motivation to the event.

As gratitude and an appreciation to the role that Hamza Iskandar played in motivating the community via the previous episode which was presented by Red Sea Channel, the channel thought that it was their duty to revive his memory by continuing in the path that he started, which would encourage others to follow his footsteps.

During the event Mrs. Nosheen announced that the new cancer support center which was the initial dream of Hamza and his sister Hanna since the early days of their sickness, will finally be inaugurated soon under the name (Cancer Fighters Support Center) and will be located in Jeddah, to provide necessary treatments to those patients who have been treated medically and later require psychological treatment and cosmetic accessories.

Prior to the end of the ceremony, Red Sea Channel provided vouchers and discounted coupons to the candidates to use it during their visit of the center which was a happy surprise to Mrs. Nosheen. Those vouchers and coupons were provided by local companies and establishments as part of their corporate social responsibility which was highly appreciated by all the attendees.

The Newest Arabic Series From Netflix: Paranormal

A third Middle Eastern Original proves Netflix’s commitment to investing in the region.


Netflix, the world’s leading internet entertainment service, announced PARANORMAL, its new original Middle Eastern series. Based on Paranormal the best-selling books in the Arab world by late author Ahmed Khaled Tawfik, that sold more than 15 million copies. PARANORMAL will be produced by both Mohamed Hefzy and Amr Salama, who is also the showrunner and the director, PARANORMAL is Netflix’s first foray into Egyptian drama.

Set in the 1960s, the series, packed with mystery and suspense, depicts the adventures of PARANORMAL leading character Dr. Refaat Ismail, a single hematologist who finds himself faced with a series of supernatural events.

Starbucks Hosts Roundtable For Saudi Partners (employees)

Starbucks recently hosted a media roundtable at one of their cafes in Riyadh, encouraging of young Saudis working at Starbucks, to share their personal experiences with the media.

Hana Al Badr, Abdullah Al Ghareeb, and Anas Al Ghadya shared their success stories with media representatives, explaining why they joined the international coffee brand, the professional training they received, and the opportunities available for Saudis to work at Starbucks’ “attractive and enriching” environment.

The Starbucks “partners”, as the company calls its employees, praised the support they receive from the company officials, noting that the skills they acquired through training, cited an atmosphere of “respect, confidence, and cooperation” at the workplace, and encouraged Saudi youths to join Starbucks and the services sector in general.

“Working for Starbucks was an opportunity for me to gain new experiences and address new challenges,” said Hana Al Badr, who joined Starbucks a year ago and is now serving as an Area Manager with the company. “I love the atmosphere and feel happy serving people and mixing with them.” She said the skills she learned at Starbucks would greatly help her in her future career.artk9898-copy

Underlining her satisfaction working at Starbucks, Hana said. “I am proud of being part of the world’s largest coffee chain. I am also proud of being the first Saudi woman to reach this position at Starbucks. But my ambition does not stop here. I will go on.”  

Abdullah Al Ghareeb, who holds a BA degree in financial management and an English language certificate from the Canadian College in Vancouver, Canada, told journalists why he chose to work for Starbucks. “It all began when I was in Canada, where I used to spend most of my day studying at Starbucks cafes. I liked the atmosphere there, and when I returned to Saudi Arabia, I wanted to try working for the brand.”

He said he was selected for a six-month management training program that prepares Saudis to manage Starbucks branches. “In the first two months, I learned how to make coffee and worked as a barista. In the following two months, I served as a shift supervisor, and in the last two months, I was trained on how to manage branches.  I enjoyed the relaxed environment, which helps one develop his skills and promotes passion for work, especially since the work team and my trainer were very helpful.” He concluded: “I am very pleased with and proud of working for a company that nurtures Saudi youths and helps build a brighter future for the Kingdom. For his part, Anas Al Ghadiya, a student at Iman Mohammad Ibn Saud University working as a shift supervisor and Assistant Branch Manager at Starbuck, said he chose to work for Starbucks because “it belonged to one of the largest retail groups in the Middle East.”

Offering his story, Anas, who became an assistant branch manager within five months, said: “The main reason for my success at Starbucks was the intensive training I received at the company. The credit also goes to the great support I received from the operations team. I felt they appreciated my talent, which only encouraged me to do more.”

Commenting on the media roundtable, Rana Shaheen, Regional Communications and CSR Manager, Starbucks Middle East, said: “Our partners are the main source of inspiration. We are pleased that they had the opportunity today to share their experiences, achievements, and impressions with the media. We take pride in the fact that we provide young Saudi men and women with great opportunities to work and develop their careers in the retail and services sector in line with national Vision 2030, which calls for economic diversification and the employment of youth.”

SADAFCO Announces Completion of Jeddah Central Warehouse Project

Largest warehouse in the SADAFCO network will enable company to improve product quality and availability.


Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabi 24 April 2019: Saudia Dairy and Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO) announced that its Jeddah Central Warehouse, the largest in the company’s network, is now operational. The facility has a capacity up to 42,000 pallets, and total building, automation & semi-automation, and engineering & equipment costs amounted to around SAR 145 million.

The new warehouse enables SADAFCO to move inventory much closer to factories, driving down logistics costs, and also removes the requirement to store raw and packaging materials in external storage facilities. Depots can now be replenished both, based on sales, helping to reduce stock holding in the value chain and improve product quality and availability, ensuring consumers receive fresher produce.

“The new Jeddah Central Warehouse is enabling us to enhance the level of service we provide to our customers and will provide long-term infrastructure solutions throughout the value chain for SADAFCO. By reducing costs and boosting operational efficiencies, the facility is making a vital contribution to strengthening SADAFCO’s Saudia branded growth path and performance,” said Wout Matthijs, CEO of SADAFCO.

The construction of the warehouse was initially announced in 2017. Its commissioning started in February 2019 and operations in April 2019. The building has a footprint of 14,345 m², and has been constructed over three floors.

An exclusive media tour of the Jeddah Central Warehouse, featuring a presentation by the SADAFCO team, was held on April 24, hosted by Mr. Talal Al Nounou, Manager Human Resources, Government and Public Relations.

Available to purchase for a limited time as of Thursday 25th April, the Ramadan Pass can be availed on all dates between the first and last day of Ramadan, allowing you to take flight, jump, leap, tumble and BOUNCE every single day during The Holy Month.

The Standard Pass is available for just SAR 250 for both the Jeddah and female-only venue in Riyadh.
