In 1906, Mercedes-Benz had a forward-looking vision when they introduced four “Mercedes-Electriques” models, pioneering electric vehicle mass production. Fast forward a century, Mercedes-Benz is now steering toward an all-electric future, aiming to go fully electric by the end of this decade, when conditions allow. This drive led to the introduction of the new Mercedes-Benz EQE, the second modern all-electric model series following the EQS luxury sedan.
Juffali Automotive Company in Saudi Arabia launched this sporty business sedan, offering a comprehensive and progressive luxury experience, featuring a sporty design approach with EQ Technology’s distinctive elements.
Seamless design is the hallmark of the new Mercedes-Benz EQE, with a focus on sensual purity displayed through smoothly modeled surfaces, minimal joints, and seamless transitions. Short overhangs and a sharp rear spoiler provide a dynamic touch to the design. The vehicle’s athletic character is accentuated by 19- to 21-inch wheels and a pronounced muscular shoulder section. In terms of size, the Mercedes-Benz EQE is similar to the CLS, featuring a fixed rear window and a boot lid.
The first model to hit the market is the EQE 350+ with 215kW, equipped with an electric drivetrain (eATS) on the rear axle. The EQE offers a driving range of up to 654 kilometers, with fast-charging capabilities through a DC box with a capacity of up to 170kW, offering a range of up to 250 kilometers. It is supported by the “Mercedes me Charge” service, one of the most extensive charging networks globally, with 700,000 charging points worldwide.
The interior dimensions surpass today’s E-Class, offering more shoulder room in the front and greater interior length, along with a higher seating position. The latest MBUX generation seamlessly integrates two screens into a single widescreen on the instrument panel. These high-resolution screens merge seamlessly under a shared glass cover, offering a unique experience. The MBUX system, equipped with adaptive software, allows for high personalization, offering tailored suggestions for various infotainment, comfort, and vehicle functions.
Mr. Basim Wali, Marketing and Development Director at Juffali Automotive Company, remarked on the vehicle’s arrival in the Kingdom, emphasizing the new era in the automotive industry. Juffali has a history of evolution to continue serving its clients and is pleased to introduce a vehicle that aligns with Mercedes-Benz’s electrification strategy. Juffali Automotive Company has also joined forces with Al Sharif Group Holding to bolster electric vehicle charging infrastructure and provide integrated solutions for electric vehicle charging, emphasizing their commitment to customer care.
