In a recent diplomatic gesture, Senegal and Mauritania have officially voiced their support for Saudi Arabia’s ambitious bids to host two of the world’s events: Expo 2030 and the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
This show of solidarity and shared aspirations was showcased as Senegal’s President, HE Macky Sall, welcomed Saudi Minister of Tourism and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, HE Ahmed Al Khateeb.
During their discussions, both leaders focused on reinforcing relations and Senegal’s commitment to Saudi Arabia’s global vision. HE Ahmed Al Khateeb, expressed his gratitude and highlighted the significance of this support, which was further recognized when he received the Senegalese National Order of the Lion.
Likewise, the Presidential Palace of Nouakchott in Mauritania hosted HE Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, who received HE Ahmed Al Khateeb and his accompanying delegation. The meeting, attended by dignitaries from both countries, emphasized Mauritania’s endorsement of Saudi Arabia’s initiatives and the mutual desire to strengthen their bilateral relations.
These endorsements serve as a testament to the increasing international confidence in Saudi Arabia’s vision and its capacity to host global-scale events. Saudi Arabia is always committed to nurturing robust partnerships, fostering mutual growth, understanding, and shared objectives.
