Saudi Entertainment Ventures, known as SEVEN, has announced its entertainment destination in Aseer, valued at over SAR 1.3 billion. Positioned between Abha and Khamis Mushait, near the Abha International Airport, the sprawling SEVEN Abha spans across 64,000 square meters of land, boasting a built-up area exceeding 79,000 square meters. This development marks SEVEN’s fifth entertainment hub in the Kingdom and its debut in the Aseer region.
The inauguration, attended by Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Chairman of Aseer Development Authority, showcased SEVEN’s commitment to providing entertainment experiences aligned with Vision 2030’s objectives. The architectural blueprint, created by global design firm Gensler, draws inspiration from Aseer’s ancient stone structures, emphasizing the region’s cultural identity while adhering to The Urban Code of Aseer principles.
Prince Turki expressed, “SEVEN’s entertainment destination in Abha stands as a pivotal project in Aseer, propelling us towards becoming a global year-round destination, supported by our leadership’s unwavering encouragement across sectors.”
Abdullah AlDawood, Chairman of SEVEN, highlighted the project’s significance in advancing the Kingdom’s entertainment landscape. He outlined projections of a SAR 4 billion GDP contribution and an estimated 5 million visitors by 2030, foreseeing the creation of numerous job opportunities for Aseer residents.
AlDawood emphasized, “Our collaboration with Aseer Development Authority and the oversight of Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud have ensured that SEVEN Abha’s architecture reflects the region’s rich heritage, offering distinctive entertainment attractions for diverse age groups.”
SEVEN has entrusted Modern Building Leaders (MBL) for construction, emphasizing adherence to Vision 2030’s directives. Olivier Crasson, CEO of MBL, affirmed their dedication to executing this iconic project with cutting-edge technology, prioritizing safety, sustainability, and environmental preservation.
SEVEN Abha will feature eight unique attractions, including family entertainment centers, educational adventures, themed entertainment zones, indoor golf, live event venues, cinemas, retail spaces, and a multitude of dining options. The development is in collaboration with renowned global entities such as Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, Hasbro, AMC, and others.
Partnering with industry leaders like Cundall, Theme 3, Top Notch, Holofice, Thinkwell, and Sea Quest, SEVEN aims to invest over SAR 50 billion in building 21 entertainment destinations across 14 cities in Saudi Arabia.
