The Saudi Ministry of Culture has launched a call for applications for its innovative ‘Emerging New Media Artists’ Programme, hosted at the forthcoming Diriyah Art Futures (DAF) centre. This program, caters to emerging creatives locally and internationally, offers access tohigh quality professional equipment, an ideal production budget, and diverse learning opportunities, including mentorship from global digital art experts.
The initiative is part of a broader collaboration between the Ministry and Diriyah Company, introducing Diriyah Art Futures as the region’s pioneering center dedicated to New Media Arts.
DAF’s mission is to embrace creativity across visual art disciplines by providing education, empowerment, and a conducive environment for artistic expression. Situated in Historical Diriyah, the center aims to support Saudi Arabia’s new and upcoming artistic community and reinforce the site’s status as a global cultural spot.
Developed in partnership with Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains in France, DAF’s Emerging New Media Artists Programme spans over a year and focuses on creative production training.
Applications for the program are now open, targeting individuals aged 35 or younger at the graduate or postgraduate stage, with a background in digital and new media arts. Those who are interested, can access program details, selection criteria, and submit their applications through this link.
