The Saudi Visual Arts Commission has revealed the RSH Street Art Festival, an immersive celebration at an abandoned building in Riyadh’s Al-Mughrizat District. Featuring local and global artists, this event sparks collaboration, cultural exchange, and collective creativity.
Curated by Basmah Felemban, a Saudi artist known for her transition from design to contemporary art, alongside Cedar Lewisohn from the UK, the festival showcases over 50 artists, speakers, and mural painting experts. Felemban’s Saudi Street Art project and Lewisohn’s museum work set the stage for this innovative art exchange.
Transforming the festival building into an artistic marvel, the event symbolizes the past and future of street art, engaging audiences with diverse creative expressions. From murals to sculptures, talents like Zainab Almahoozi from Saudi Arabia, Spidertag from Spain, and more add depth to this visual feast.
Until December 6, the festival offers workshops, panel discussions, and film screenings exploring street art’s history and cultural impact. Alongside these sessions, the festival blends street art with Riyadh’s winter vibes, hosting food trucks, a skatepark, fashion outlets, DJ performances, street art competitions, and engaging educational initiatives.
The “Inside Out” project, highlighting street art’s global reach, contributes to this vibrant celebration. Tickets for this immersive experience can be booked through the official link: dc.moc.gov.sa
