The Maison is unveiling six new radiant and refined creations, all true to the Perlée  collection’s joyful, sparkling spirit.

Three Perlée sweet clovers bracelets, along with as  many rings, feature scintillating motifs amid gold of varying hues, embodying an iconic  Van Cleef & Arpels style. Lighting up the skin, revealing tender nuances or shimmering  with pure and clean light, the different shades of gold alternate to express any mood,  inspiring infinite combinations. Pre-launched in the Middle East region in April 2021,  the new models will be showcased for the first time during the season of Ramadan.

A refined Aesthetic

Available in yellow, white and  rose gold, the new Perlée pieces  offer a fresh continuation of  the collection’s rounded style.  Outlined with a contour of golden  beads, they draw from the aesthetic  of the first Perlée clovers creations  in a “sweet” version imbued  with deep finesse. For the first  time, the shimmering ribbon is  enhanced with ten clover motifs  on the bracelet and five on the  ring. They each feature a central  golden bead surrounded by four  round diamonds. The motifs blend  delicately into the piece, creating  a subtle interplay of light and  volumes. Worn in twos or threes,  the bracelets pirouette around the  wrist in a nimble dance, while the  rings follow the movements of the  hand with a gentle sparkle. The  eye rejoices, shifting between the  curves of the golden beads and the  radiance of the diamonds.

The new Perlée sweet clovers  pieces lend themselves to any  number of associations with the  Maison’s other jewelry creations,  laying the foundation for a unique  and personal adornment. Their  gleeful gleam seems to bloom  with the diverse hues of the Perlée  pearls of gold rings and bracelets  in yellow, white and rose gold.  For even more variations, the new  pieces mingle with the sparkling  ribbons of the Perlée diamonds  collection for daytime or evening  radiance. Combined with the  calligraphic etching of Perlée  signature creations, they express an  elegant harmony characteristic of  Van Cleef & Arpels.

Artistry of Light

Perlée creations, like all  Van  Cleef  &  Arpels pieces, reflect  the Maison’s tradition of excellence.  From jewelry craftsmanship to  setting and polishing, varied forms  of expertise come together through  a succession of exacting gestures  intended to heighten both the  aesthetic beauty and the comfort of  each jewel.

One by one, the golden beads are  worked by the jeweler and then hand  polished in a sequence of steps until  their surface is perfectly smooth and  draws forth gleaming reflections.

The savoir-faire of the Maison’s  gemologists complements that of  the craftsmen themselves. For each  creation, the diamonds are selected  according to the strictest criteria:  D to F for color and IF to VVS for  clarity. Carefully set, they enhance  Perlée sweet clovers pieces with an  intense shine.

A history of Golden Beads

Born in 2008, the Perlée collection  draws its aesthetic design and its  savoir-faire from the history of  Van  Cleef  &  Arpels. Accenting  stones and motifs in the Maison’s  creations since the 1920s, golden  beads grew more ample as of 1948,  increasing in number and shifting  in dimensions to fashion necklaces,  bracelets, rings and watches.

Starting in 1963, a period  characterized by supple, fluid shapes,  golden beads took on an exuberant  quality and were wound into the Twist  collection. Appearing in straight  rows or twisted compositions, they  served to accentuate pearls and  ornamental stones.

In 1968, these glistening globes  were incorporated into the  Alhambra collection, enhancing  the iconic good-luck motifs with a  golden contour. Today, with Perlée,  Van Cleef & Arpels brings to life  a joyful and feminine collection  made up of Perlée  signature,  Perlée  diamonds, Perlée  clovers,  Perlée couleurs and Perlée pearls of  gold.
