March 2022 sees Saudi Arabia’s timeless modern fashion house, Leem, launch its Ramadan Capsule Collection across its stores in KSA, UAE, and Bahrain as well as on the Leem app, available for download in KSA. For the Holy Month, Leem continues to celebrate the creativity and diversity of modest dressing with a carefully curated collection that merges beautifully authentic Middle Eastern styles with modern cuts and dramatic silhouettes.
This Ramadan, Leem presents an on-trend collection that projects glamour through tactile fabrics, dramatic volumes, intricate detailing, and striking modern cuts. Taking center stage in this collection is a series of ethereal kaftans inspired by the Lunar calendar during the month of Ramadan. The kaftans from this range are designed to depict the religious stages of the Holy Month (mercy, forgiveness, and safety) in conjunction with the Lunar cycle of the moon, from the new moon to the waning crescent. Furthermore, a series of printed kaftans have been designed in collaboration with Saudi-based artist, Shaker Kashgari who brings alive beautiful curves inspired by Arabic calligraphy in two soft jersey kaftans. His unique graphic illustration is eye-catching and uplifts these pieces with a natural-looking flow.
Bringing versatile designs to the table whilst still embodying the true essence of the Holy Month, the kaftans from the collection are designed in both light and soft fabrics that offer a graceful touch. Think soft jerseys, bamboo, cotton poplin, chiffon, and satin characterized by meticulous detailing through the use of mirror and crochet embroidery, agate stones, metal trims, lace details, and timeless pleats that further enhance outfits for the perfect day-to-night transition. Another bold trend introduced this season is the feminine twist on the masculine Arabian Bisht, a traditional men’s cloak popular in the Arab region, seen on silk kaftans in camel and white colors with unique gold detailing and flawless cuts.
The collection also sees the return of the much loved Mommy & Me Collection which acknowledges the precious relationship between mother and daughter. With hers-and-hers kaftans adorned with exclusive prints, vibrant, spirit-lifting embellishments, and unique elements like the playful dinosaur bag, these mini pieces bring a whimsical touch to the wider range.
The season sees the interjection of bold trends captured on a backdrop of dusty pink, pale lavender, sleek mustard, bright Fuschia, caramel beige, faded blue and a blank canvas of classic refreshed neutrals. Saturated tie-dye and sophisticated gradient designs in ombré, and color block are carefully tailored in different silhouettes for an essential day-to-evening aesthetic.
In the four years since its creation, Leem has earned a loyal modest fashion following globally and continues to expand brick and mortar steadily across the Middle East with seven store locations, and an app for its KSA customers.
