This March, Saudi Arabia’s modern home fashion brand, aura announces the launch of its Ramadan 2022 capsule collection across all its stores in KSA and UAE.


Inspired by the essence of the Holy Month and the core values associated with the season, the aura Ramadan 2022 collection features gorgeous dinnerware ranges, intricate decorative accessories, as well as thoughtful gifting items that merge beautifully authentic Middle Eastern styles with a sleek, modern twist on design.

This Ramadan, aura introduces three stunning dinnerware ranges, LUNAR, FAMIGLIA, and JAMILAH, along with a range of decorative tabletop essentials in various shapes and geometric patterns. The LUNAR range, designed in collaboration with Saudi-based artist Shaker Kashgari, features a symbolic representation of the lunar cycle of the moon throughout Ramadan, enhanced by complementary messaging in a modern calligraphic graffiti style. With a Middle Eastern yet modern aesthetic, the range is designed in black and white with a hint of gold, and includes alongside the dinnerware pieces, practical chafing dishes and a mini dellah set with simple, yet unique moon designs printed.

The Ramadan collection also sees the return of the much loved FAMIGLIA dinnerware. Designed in collaboration with emerging artist Layan Al Hamed, the range reflects the core family value of coming together during the Holy Month, showcasing quirky yet refined cartoon characters in monochrome with gold motifs. Each illustrated character represents the different family members including mother, father, son, daughter, grandmother and grandfather and beautifully depicts the role and meaning of each within the family unit.

Bringing versatile, on-trend designs to the table whilst still embodying the true essence of the Holy Month, aura also introduces the stunning JAMILAH porcelain dinnerware and serveware, which features a faded-fabric Persian design in varying tones of rose, lavender and plum that are further blended with cool pewter and textured silver. Key to this range is also a beautiful dellah service set in polished hammered metal with tea light warming function and date bowls.

Furthermore, aura has developed an extensive range of decorative accessories for the Holy Month. Perfect for complementing home decor, the collection features versatile candle holders, Medkhana (Arabic for incense burner), traditional lanterns with a modern twist, as well as beautiful hanging ornaments that include mini crescents and Arabesque geometric shapes for that much-needed Ramadan aesthetic.

Taking center stage in this collection is a series of ethereal kaftans inspired by the Lunar calendar during the month of Ramadan. Bringing versatile designs to the table whilst still embodying the true essence of the Holy Month, the kaftans from the collection are designed in both light and soft fabrics that offer a graceful touch. Think soft jerseys, bamboo, cotton poplin, chiffon, and satin characterized by meticulous detailing through the use of mirror and crochet embroidery, agate stones, metal trims, lace details, and timeless pleats that further enhance outfits for the perfect day-to-night transition. Another bold trend introduced this season is the feminine twist on the masculine Arabian Bisht, a traditional men’s cloak popular in the Arab region, seen on silk kaftans in camel and white colors with unique gold detailing and flawless cuts.

This February, Saudi Arabia’s timeless modern fashion house, Leem, is set to launch its first Spring Summer 2022 capsule collection in stores across KSA, the UAE and Bahrain, as well as on the Leem app that is available for download in KSA. The capsule collection opens with gorgeous airy knits that are light, versatile, and loose in fit, the perfect wardrobe staples for the transitional season. aura Announces Participation in Saudi Design Festival 2022

This January, Saudi Arabia’s modern interior brand, aura, announced its participation in the first edition of the Saudi Design Festival from January 9 – 29, 2022 at JAX District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.


At the inaugural edition of SDF 2022, aura is set to showcase a unique design exhibit that demonstrates the brand’s dedication to supporting future talent in the region, as well as paying homage to the nation’s local traditional craftsmanship. For the exhibit, aura has collaborated with Andréa Abou-Fadel, a budding young product and furniture designer who interned at aura. Andrea was given the chance to bring her creative industry background to aura’s product mix, presenting a range of refined table designs, the Andrea Tables, set with a distinctive Arabesque pattern. Additionally, recognizing the importance of supporting local organisations, aura has proudly collaborated with Herfa Association and Ketcha Studio to create a distinctive multifunctional side table with the purpose of ensuring the preservation of the cultural heritage of crafts. The exhibition wall space will also draw the spotlight on aura’s extensive dinnerware range through distinctive plate fixtures in pastel, black, and gold colours making for a perfect Instagram moment.

In a continued effort to support the growing local talent amongst the design community of Saudi Arabia, aura also announced a countrywide furniture design competition with Saudi Design Festival. In partnership, aura will award two Saudi-based designers the chance to have their design manufactured and retailed exclusively at the aura stores as part of a limited-edition retail collection within the brand’s AW23 collection.

Participants are tasked to design either a mid-market priced, upholstered, occasional chair or table for use in a living room or formal reception room or a contemporary pattern suitable for placement and production on porcelain dinnerware, serveware and aura’s iconic Arabic coffee pots and cups. The concept should incorporate aura’s core goals of blending international design with Arabian trends – as well as taking into consideration one of aura’s three signature collections – Modern Classic, Contemporary, or Trend. Submissions are open from January 9, 2022 until April 10, 2022. The winning designs will be unveiled on May 15, 2022.

Encouraging sustainability, fostering local talent, and promoting art through design, aura is also collaborating with Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University, on a university installation challenge that calls students to come together and create an art installation showcased at the Saudi Design Festival. Through this initiative, students will be provided with a range of aura home products to repurpose and recreate into a master art installation.

Since its inception in 2011, aura has been inspiring the region with modern living interior solutions. Starting its journey in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and expanding into the UAE, aura is “from and for the Middle East”, influenced by the traditions of the Middle Eastern culture whilst providing a synergistic contemporary touch to its unique take on international design.

Saudi Homegrown Brand, Aura, Supports Local Talent in Celebration of the Kingdom’s 91st National Day

In celebration of the nation’s 91st National Day, Saudi homegrown furniture brand, aura, pledges its support to local artistic talent in the Kingdom.


From and for the Middle East, aura has collaborated with the talented Saudi artist Mawada Muhtasib, as well as contemporary art gallery L’Art Pur, to showcase their unique art pieces at the brand’s stores in Red Sea Mall, Jeddah and Panorama Mall, Riyadh respectively.

A progressive Saudi artist, Mawada Muhtasib is recognised for her distinguished paintings that utilize a ‘Calligraffiti’ typeface that she personally designs. This decorative, contemporary, and handwritten typeface is exclusively and exceptionally written from left to right. It is a celebration that merges two eras; the legacy of Arabic Calligraphy and the progressiveness of Graffiti Art. The mirrored letters of the unique ‘Calligraffiti’ are not necessarily readable to the observer but rather showcases the beauty of the strokes. This precisely serves the ideology of her art. A selection of 8 art pieces will be available to purchase at aura’s store in Red Sea Mall, Jeddah.

Being one of the first contemporary art galleries in Saudi Arabia, L’Art Pur Gallery has sponsored and showcased Saudi and international artists since its inception. Famously known as one of the largest art galleries in the Middle East, the art gallery houses exceptional art pieces of master artists such as Joan Miró, Victor Vasarely and Sam Francis among other talented local artists from the region. A range of 13 art pieces from L’Art Pur will be showcased and available for purchase at aura’s store in Panorama Mall, Riyadh.

When talking about the collaboration, artist Mawadah Muhtasib highlighted the abundance of unique artistic talents in the Kingdom, and the importance of continuously supporting thriving creatives that are a crucial part of the nation’s development.
