Genesis Unveils Personalization and Performance Projects in Middle East at “Distinctly Yours” Event
Genesis, the luxury automotive brand, marked a significant milestone in the Middle Eastern region during the “Distinctly Yours” event held in Dubai. The event aimed to highlight Genesis’ commitment to delivering a unique luxury experience through hyper-personalization and performance-focused projects.
Led by Luc Donckerwolke, Chief Creative Officer, the event showcased the brand’s exciting program with the unveiling of two exclusive One of One cars, emphasizing Genesis’ dedication to offering personalized luxury experiences.
Apart from the One of One models, Donckerwolke introduced three performance-based projects: the GV80 Coupe Concept, G80 Performance, and X Gran Berlinetta Concept. These projects embody Genesis’ design philosophy of “Athletic Elegance” by integrating emotions and dynamics into their design.
The “Distinctly Yours” event served as a platform to bring together Genesis’ partners, VIPs, and media, showcasing the brand’s regional commitment while unveiling its future direction in personalization and performance.
One of One Program in the Middle East
The “One of One” concept, originating from the art world, signifies uniqueness, with each piece being a single, exclusive edition. Genesis adopted this concept, creating One of One cars that represent luxury and exclusivity for customers. Initially introduced in the Middle East in 2021 to VIP customers, the program aims to offer highly personalized experiences beyond traditional automotive standards.
Genesis presented two options under the One of One program: fully personalized vehicles tailored to individual preferences and special editions inspired by various themes, regions, or artists. These special editions celebrate external influences while incorporating Genesis designs.
First One of One Model
The event revealed the exclusive One of One model—a G90 LONG WHEEL BASE featuring a two-tone exterior in black and white with a pearlescent finish. The interior boasted unique customizations, including a special type of white stone trim and built-in analog watches displaying three time zones for executive travelers. The car also featured personalized elements such as Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke’s signature and the One of One branding.
First Special Edition
The GV80 Twilight Special Edition by Genesis One of One, introduced as the first special edition, drew inspiration from the hues and textures of Middle Eastern deserts. The design reflects the meeting of two cultures—the Middle East and Korea—symbolizing twilight. Limited to 20 cars, this edition offers variants in gold and black or blue and black, representing the region’s skies and landscapes.
Performance Projects
Following the One of One reveals, Genesis introduced three performance-driven projects in energetic Magma color. The GV80 Coupe Concept combines SUV practicality with sports car dynamism, while the G80 Performance enhances athleticism through design modifications. Donckerwolke presented the X Gran Berlinetta Concept, designed for the Gran Turismo series, embodying Genesis’ Athletic Elegance design philosophy.
The event emphasized Genesis’ commitment to delivering emotionally charged driving experiences, showcasing the brand’s dynamic and passionate approach to luxury and performance.
