Film AlUla is now stepping into the music scene, showing their dedication to becoming a one-stop creative hub. They want artists to enjoy the beautiful surroundings while using top-notch facilities. It’s all about creating a unique experience for creativity!

With a thriving music scene that spans from EDM to opera, the Kingdom has seen remarkable growth, thanks to initiatives like the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Culture, General Entertainment Authority, and Music Commission. AlUla, a leading player in this development, hosts the annual Azimuth festival, featuring renowned artists like Peggy Gou and Jorja Smith. The stunning Maraya venue also welcomes global stars like Alicia Keys and Andrea Bocelli. The Kingdom is home to both established and rising talents, with artists like Sawsan Albahiti and Aedh Yousef gaining recognition regionally and internationally. Exciting events and performances continue to draw a passionate community of music lovers.

Charlene Deleon-Jones, Executive Director of Film AlUla, said: “Following the successful launch of our film studios last year, we are continuing to strategically expand the complex and become a one-stop destination for creatives, with the recording studio being a natural next step in this vision. We are delighted to welcome artists from June this year, who we have no doubt will be inspired by the magnificent surroundings and heritage that AlUla has to offer while making the most of our cutting-edge facilities to create magic.”

Film AlUla’s initial stage of studio development unveiled two expansive 26,000 sq ft soundstages and a production building. This production facility encompasses essential spaces like hair and makeup rooms, wardrobe facilities, offices, board rooms, and dressing rooms. Each stage is complemented by 15,400 sq ft workshops and RV parking areas. The complex also features an administration building, a sound recording studio, kitchen, events space, and a sizable 61,500 sq ft backlot for temporary infrastructure and set builds.

Located just a short 14-minute drive from the Film AlUla Residence, the soundstages are conveniently close to the purpose-built crew quarters. These quarters offer 300 fully furnished and high-quality accommodation units, film-friendly office spaces for both short and long-term stays, as well as various high-end and mid-range accommodation choices.
