A handy list of ethical products/brands that are sold here in the Kingdom or can be delivered via online shopping.

The Leaping Bunny program and sign on packaging indicates that the product has not been tested on animals. There are a lot of international brands that support this program. Some are not available in Saudi Arabia but can be ordered online through websites such as Sephora.

Too Faced: Too Faced is the inventor of gorgeous shades of bronzers such as the Soleil Matt Bronzer and the currently very popular Melted Liquified lipsticks. Their innovative products are packaged very nicely and while you are out shopping don’t forget to check out their Chocolate Bar Eye Palette (16 matte and shimmer shadows scented with real chocolate).
Available at Sephora

Nars: Nars is popular not just for the ravishing colors and variety they offer, but it’s also part of the cruelty free program that goes against animal testing. Some of the popular items by Nars include the multi-purpose makeup stick that beautifully highlights, sculpts, and warms the eyes, cheeks, lips and body. Not available at the local Sephora but can be ordered online.

NYX: NYX is a drugstore brand that’s not just ethical but they deliver a range of colorful great quality products. Their soft matte lip creams are a must buy, the texture is smooth and the shades are long-lasting. Their jumbo eye shadow pencil called Milk is a must have as it serves as a highlighter, primer and doubles as an eyeliner and eye shadow as well.
Available at Center Point

Urban Decay: Urban Decay is one of my favorites as it’s not just ethical but also creates the amazingly long-lasting eye pencil known as 24/7 glide on. And who can forget that Urban Decay is the namebehind the very popular Naked Palette, the one stop collection for gorgeous eye shadows.
Available at Sephora

Lush: Lush is an established brand and popular due to their amazing fragrances and quality. Their products are hand made and not tested on animals making them part of the cruelty free products. Try their bath and face products; they come in small amounts so you can enjoy the freshness without compromising quality.

Lime Crime: If you’re looking for a pop of color, try out Lime Crime. Their shades are bright, vibrant and lively. This brand was started by Doe Deere and can be ordered online. Check out their color swatches on Instagram and if you’re in the mood for some bold makeup, their matte shades are the go to option.

Where to go? As mentioned above there are some ethical brands such as Nars, Tarte, The Balm or Lime Crime that are not available in stores. But not to worry, there are some great home based businesses (primarily run by women) that can deliver your favorite brand of ethical makeup (pick up option is available too). Check out the following Instagram accounts for further information on how to order.
