It was announced today by the Red Sea International Film Festival the signing of a cooperation agreement with the German Goethe-Institut in cooperation with the Filmakademie Baden Württemberg GmbH to launch a Short Film Klinik Program.

This cooperation will be targeting upcoming filmmakers and scriptwriters.

What will the workshops include?
This upcoming program will involve three workshops for scriptwriting and subsidized production period. From each of the three workshops, one script will be chosen by a jury and later be taken into a whole production while being supervised by a dedicated production team.

The workshops

The First Workshop

This workshop will be taking place in December specifically in Jeddah during the event of the Red Sea International Film Festival.

The Second Workshop

This workshop will be taking place in the UAE.

The Third Workshop

The third workshop will be held within the Berlin International Film Festival early next year in February 2023.

As a result of these three workshops, the production process will commence from October to November.
