To explore Sharqiya’s hidden gems, we decided to spend a day as tourists. We went on the Eastern Coast Tour and viewed some of the most beautiful places in Sharqiya.
1. Civilization Café
This café is one of the most popular cafés in Khobar. It is known for its unique traditional interior design. The food is served in round aluminum containers and the bread is freshly baked. Their menu consists of the best hearty dishes from the Arabian Peninsula. The whole setting of the café takes you back to the past.
- Tip: Don’t miss their Karak.
2. Al Amer Gallery
Al Amri gallery tells a story of a man who had a passion for collecting vintage exquisite art pieces. It started out with collecting unique pieces and as time passed, Dr. Muhammad Al Amri started making his own art pieces. Today, his work is displayed all over Khobar and Dammam.
3. Sea Cruise
Even though the weather is not always suitable for outdoor activities, this sea cruise is worth the sweat. Get yourself a cup of coffee, lay back and have a good time. Make sure you go on the cruise with the cruise ship musicians.
4. Al Khobar Traditional Village
If you’re looking to try some of the most common dishes in Saudi Arabia, this is the place to go. The traditional village is made up of beautifully-crafted huts, where you can enjoy a traditional Saudi meal with your loved ones.
5. Al Rashid Mall
Al Rashid Mall is located in Khobar, it is one of the oldest and most popular shopping centers in Sharqiya. It offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants and entertainment facilities. It is best enjoyed in early morning hours.
