The Kingdom is currently reforming its policies and regulations to promote the rise of the entertainment sector by lifting the ban on cinemas, concerts, festivals, and shows, and enabling other forms of entertainment and tourism.

The government estimates that movie theatres will contribute to over $24 billion (90 billion Riyals) to the economy, with about 300 cinemas and 2,000 screens to be built in the country creating more than 30,000 jobs by 2030.
