The Rawi Diriyah competition is designed with a specific purpose in mind: to shine a spotlight on and celebrate the rich culture and heritage of Saudi Arabia through the art of storytelling. By preserving and sharing tales of Diriyah and Saudi Arabia, this competition plays a vital role in preserving these narratives for future generations to cherish. In alignment with the ambitious Vision 2030 goals, the competition aims to instill Saudi culture deep within the hearts and minds of the Kingdom’s youth. It also aspires to empower a new generation of storytellers who will carry the stories of Diriyah’s heritage forward. By nurturing storytelling skills among young participants, the program equips them with valuable life skills and fosters a profound sense of belonging to their community. DGDA and the Ministry of Education will oversee the competition, ensuring that Diriyah’s rich history is well conveyed by the participants.

The competition and the different stories it showcases stand as a testament to their pride in Saudi Arabia’s society and its  history. In its edition in late 2020, Rawi Diriyah captivated a large audience, engaging approximately 250,000 talented male and female students. Out of this impressive pool of participants, twelve exceptional students, both boys and girls, emerged as finalists, with the total number of participants surpassing half a million.

Registration for the competition will be open from October 2 to November 14, 2023. Don’t miss your chance to be part of “Rawi Diriyah.” Register now and become a part of Saudi Arabia’s rich storytelling tradition.
