Reflecting on his unique journey that led him into content creation and sharing, “My beginning might seem unrelated to my current content. I was deeply immersed in sports, particularly bodybuilding, after a significant weight loss journey. The documentation of this transformation, coupled with my distinct story, garnered attention. He continues, “Initially, I resisted the suggestion to tell stories, but after persistent comments, I decided to give it a shot. Starting with general topics, positive feedback encouraged me. With Ramadan approaching, I dedicated the month to historical religious stories, resulting in the highest engagement in Saudi social media. I aim to answer questions like ‘What happened?’ and ‘How will it happen?’ Using accessible language is crucial as Islam was revealed in classical Arabic, which, over time, became challenging to understand.
Addressing the challenge of appealing to a diverse audience, Sultan shares, “I ensure clarity by simplifying language, having others review the content, providing related introductions, and gauging audience response. If 90% or more find the video clear, it’s a success.” When asked about frequently misunderstood topics in Islamic teachings, Sultan navigates away from complex and controversial subjects in his stories, focusing on narrations and events that avoid religious or ideological conflicts.
As Ramadan approaches, Sultan unveils his plans, saying, “I aim to introduce something new while enhancing religious culture. This year, I’ll be joined by influential figures in their fields. Capturing everyday moments during Ramadan, such as Taraweeh prayers and the voices of imams, will strengthen the bond between my followers and me.” Looking ahead, Sultan remains committed to continuous improvement and development.
