The European Union (EU) is set to make a flavorful splash at Foodex 2023, the premier food exhibition, scheduled from September 17 to 20, 2023, at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Under the banner of the “More than Food” campaign, the EU Pavilion is getting ready to captivate attendees with an impressive array of culinary delights from its 27 Member States.

Embodying the EU’s rich heritage of producing high-quality food and beverages, the EU Pavilion at Foodex 2023 will unveil an amazing selection of products that include olive oil, cereals, dairy, and various European delicacies. This showcase underscores the EU’s steadfast commitment to quality, safety, authenticity, and sustainability in the realm of gastronomy.

H.E. Mr. Christophe Farnaud, the newly appointed EU Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressed his excitement about the event, stating, “We are delighted to be part of Foodex 2023, which will showcase Europe’s rich culinary heritage and commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability. In 2022, GCC countries together were the EU’s 5th biggest export market for agri-food products. The EU Pavilion at the event will give Saudi buyers, retailers, and distributors a unique chance to experience in one place the excellence of EU food and beverage produce and to explore how to translate this excellence into profitable business opportunities.”

The EU Pavilion at Foodex promises an engaging and interactive experience for visitors. The EU Pavilion’s Official Opening Ceremony, hosted by H.E. Mr. Christophe Farnaud, is scheduled for September 17 at 18:00 in Hall 3 of the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
