Every Ramadan, as kids we would settle into the routine of watching TV shows that soon became our Ramadan favorites.

Here are top favorite Ramadan season TV shows:

  1. Tash Ma Tash

This local satirical comedy show ran for 18 seasons and proved to be the perfect family entertainment in Ramadan. The family would usually gather after Iftar to enjoy an episode of Tash Ma Tash.

  1. Full House

The Olsen twins were adorable in this TV show. We loved laughing at their cheeky dialogues.

  1. Legends of the Hidden Temple

What better way to entertain yourself than to laugh at other people falling?

  1. The Girl From Tomorrow

This was a scifi show about a girl and a criminal from the future trapped in the year 1990.

Another scifi show that we loved, about a young android living with the family of the robotic engineer who secretly created her.

  1. Doogie Howser, M.D.

This was a comedy show about a teenage physician who is facing the issues of being a normal teenager. The lead role was played by, wait for it, young Neil Patrick Harris!

The title song and characters of this fun show are unforgettable.

  1. Freej

This is an animated Emirati cartoon that gained popularity due to its hilarious characters depicted by traditional Emirati women.

A show presented by Ahmed Al Shugairy. He tackled social issues within the Middle East. The show spread awareness, which helped us with our Ramadan reflections.
