KITESURFING AND WIND SURFING
Kitesurfing is a type of kite-boarding extreme water sport which specifically involves wave riding with a special stylized surfboard. Windsurfing on the other hand, is a combination of sailing and surfing. Considering the winds of Jeddah, these sports are a perfect option for water sport lovers in the city.
Kitesurfing is now available in Durrat Al Arus Resort for beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers. The lessons are typically for 10 hours over a period of 4-5 days depending on the student’s availability. All levels cost SR 2,500 each and is a feasible investment considering how this skill can remain for life.
For all wind surfing enthusiasts, Silver Sands Beach offers its waters for windsurfing and all other water sports as long as you bring in your equipment and certification. It’s a great activity to try out especially during Easterly winds between January and March.
The equipment is also available for rent within Silver Sands. The best part is that you don’t have to be a member to access the wind surfing spots at the resort.

FLYBOARDING AND HOVERBOARDING
Flyboarding is the use of water-propelled devices that allows the user to fly above the water. You can also dive in and out and do a variety of tricks. An hour of training is required before you’re allowed in the water with a flyboard or hoverboard.
Hoverboarding is for surf lovers who want to experience a new way of surfing. It’s a surfing innovation bound to have you addicted! It involves flying and surfing at great speeds.
THE WATER BLOB
The WaterBlob is basically an inflatable waterfront toy used as an alternative to jumping castles for water. It’s all about how high you jump and what tricks you do. If you’re not scared of falling face flat into the water then the water blob is the sport for you.
THE WATER MAT
The WaterMat is another ton of fun. With the WaterMat, you can walk on water, run, jump, slip and slide. You can even create your own awesome WaterMat games or just sun tan in the middle of the water.
FREESTYLE CRUISER SLIDE
A freestyle cruiser slide is a slide that you can attach to any kind of boat and slide off of into the water. It also comes up with freestyle trampolines, docks and pools to enhance your water floating experience.
