Industry Minister Commends Almarai’s Food Efforts

Almarai is taking part in the second Saudi Food 2024 exhibition, hosted by the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef. The event, in partnership with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), runs from May 21 to 23 at Roshn Front in Riyadh, featuring over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 100 countries.

The Minister of Industry visited Almarai’s booth at the exhibition. Company officials greeted him and explained how Almarai enhances consumers’ daily lives with high-quality food and drinks. They also discussed their new five-year investment plan, highlighting their efforts in food production, new factories, and future investments in the food industry.

The Minister praised Almarai for its major efforts in developing the food industry in the Kingdom. He recognized Almarai as a leading company that greatly contributes to food security through its various projects.

Mohammed Alshuhail, EVP of Almarai’s Food Service Division, stated that Almarai Pro, which focuses on specialized customer needs, is presenting the company’s vision at the exhibition. He emphasized their dedication to growing the food service and catering industry by offering top-quality, innovative products and solutions that meet customer demands.

Alshuhail mentioned that “Almarai Pro” caters to over 35,000 clients in the food service sector, including restaurants, fast-food chains, cafes, hotels, bakeries, and food and beverage producers.

In this context, Monther Mahmoud Tayeb, EVP of Corporate Communications at Almarai, viewed participation in the exhibition via “Almarai Pro” as a chance to showcase the company’s increasing role in ensuring food security in the Kingdom, solidifying its leadership in the food and beverage industry in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and the Gulf region.

Tayeb highlighted that Almarai’s ambitious five-year investment plan (2024 – 2028) is a significant step in its growth and leadership in the Kingdom’s food sector. This strategy also solidifies Almarai’s status as the world’s largest vertically integrated dairy company.
