The ultimate fitness experience with a view.

FitBox Jeddah teamed up with The Fitness Playground in Egypt to offer a unique fitness experience to 10 dedicated Saudi women aged between 22-50. It was organized with the purpose of encouraging Saudi women to step out of their comfort zone. Nirvana Zaher and I, both certified strength and conditioning coaches, put together an educational and challenging four-day program along the coast of the Red Sea in El Gouna, Egypt. The participants were provided with healthy meals at all times.

Day 1:

• Base Camp; a practical review of basic functional moves (squats, lunges, pull-ups, etc.)

• Animal Flow; a body weight workout with the view of the Red Sea (bear crawls, crab walks, lizard movements, etc.)

• Agility and Speed; coordination games to improve stamina and reflex (knee tag, shuttle runs, etc.)

• Hands on sail trip to learn about wind dynamics.

• Nutrition seminar about fitness myths, common injuries, followed by a pop-quiz over coffee.

• Strength Circuit at the gym.

Day 2:

• Intro to Triathlon Training (cycling, swimming and running).

• Challenging outdoor uphill and downhill bike riding.

• Lagoon Swim and Jog across three lagoons.

• High Intensity Strength training with Indoor Spinning Circuit

• Calm yoga and deep stretching to unwind with a beautiful view.

Day 3:

• Refreshing day at Mahmya Island.

• Swimming, Snorkeling, and an intense beach workout.

• Boat ride with a breathtaking view of the island and jumping dolphins.

The fun and challenging Fitbox campaign proved to be a unique experience. It was an opportunity that allowed Saudi women to work as a team, to grow and improve on various personal and physical levels.
