How would you best describe your alternative medicine practice?
I have been treating patients using acupuncture, Tui-na, herbal medicine, moxibustion, and giving lifestyle and food therapy recommendations for almost five years. Integrative Medicine is a holistic application that involves treatment of the mind, body and spirit. Each patient needs personalized treatment based on the assessment of his or her mental and physical health condition.
What are the barriers you see existing between conventional and unconventional medicine?
During this period, I noticed that the biggest challenge with most patients is the ability to make the necessary lifestyle changes to achieve mental and physical improvements. Assessing individual characters are critical in speeding up the healing process.
What are the most common therapies you practice or prescribe?
I have been helping in treating sinuses, headaches, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, gout, osteoarthritis and more, which is least of what Chinese medicine can do.
