Crashing Eid: A Saudi Family’s Hilarious Journey of Love and Tradition

Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for “Crashing Eid,” a four-part series that promises to be a rollercoaster ride through the challenges of following your heart in a world where family values and societal expectations often clash.

Set against the scenes of Jeddah during the festive season of Eid, this comedic masterpiece offers viewers a heartwarming and side-splitting glimpse into Saudi family life.

“Crashing Eid” focuses on the story of Razan, a Saudi woman residing in the UK with her teenage daughter. Her world turns upside down when she returns home to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr and reveals a life-altering secret. Things take an unexpected turn when her British-Pakistani fiancé, Sameer, arrives uninvited and becomes an unintentional guest of honor, setting the stage for a memorable Eid filled with comedy and drama.

This series brings together a remarkable group of Arab talent. Nora Aboushousha serves as the showrunner and co-creator, while Ali Alattas co-creates and co-writes alongside Sara Alghabra, who is also the producer. Said Zagha and Ali Alattas step into the director’s role

The cast includes Summer Shesha as Razan, caught between choosing family and love; Hamza Haq as Sameer, the supportive fiancé; Yasser AlSaqqaf as Sofyan, Razan’s brother dealing with his own issues; Khalid Alharbi as Razan’s loving and understanding father; Amani Idrees as the mother learning to accept her daughter’s choices, and Bateel Nabeel as Razan’s loving daughter.

Mark your calendars for October 19th, when “Crashing Eid” premieres exclusively on Netflix.
