The much-anticipated AlUla Wellness Festival 2023 is officially underway, and the first weekend of the event has left attendees buzzing with excitement. The festival offers a diverse range of holistic workshops, captivating events, and interactive activities that draw deep inspiration from AlUla’s rich historical and natural heritage. It marks the flagship event for AlUla Moments and is expected to be a memorable and transformative wellness journey for all attendees.
Known for its focus on nurturing the well-being of the mind, body, and soul, this year’s third edition of the AlUla Wellness Festival spans an impressive 16 days and is poised to be the most significant one yet. Visitors are in for a unique and unforgettable experience as they immerse themselves in a world of wellness. The festival blends the familiar favorites with new additions that promise to elevate the event to new heights. With many more activations and inspiring talks by world-renowned experts scheduled, the wellness journey is well underway, and many more visitors are expected between now and November 4.
Rami AlMoallim, Vice President of Destination Management and Marketing at the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU), expressed his delight about the festival’s opening and the impressive turnout. He emphasized that people today prioritize their health and well-being, and the demand for opportunities to recharge and rejuvenate is on the rise. The AlUla Wellness Festival aligns with AlUla’s legacy as a place of rest and revitalization and aims to inspire individuals and change lives while welcoming wellness enthusiasts from around the world.
The first weekend of the festival was packed with exciting activities for wellness seekers and health-conscious participants. Highlights included the Five Senses Sanctuary, offering a unique program of immersive sensory-based activities. These activities encompassed yoga, meditation, sound healing, fitness, and mindfulness sessions, aiming to provoke the senses, stimulate conversations, inspire personal growth, and leave participants feeling rejuvenated both physically and mentally. Another new and popular addition was “The Rooh Immersion in the Canyon,” which combined Kundalini yoga, 5Rhythms, breathwork, and sound healing to create a spiritual experience in AlUla’s breathtaking canyons.
One of the new additions that garnered immediate popularity was the “Reviving Nature Experience.” This unique workshop allowed attendees to participate in creative endeavors aimed at addressing environmental waste and contributing to a visionary new sculpture and public space. Other sought-after activations included the Nomuhub Wellness Program, Heritage Restoration Experience, and Anyah Cooking Classes.
The festival organizers are also offering day passes to cater to various interests. For the Five Senses Sanctuary, day passes start from SAR 200, with a comprehensive 7-day experience available at SAR 950. The Habitas AlUla Day Pass provides access to the five-star hotel’s superb pool and in-house wellness activities, along with lunch and two poolside drinks. The Habitas AlUla Wellness Day Pass includes the same offerings along with an hour-long treatment at the luxurious Thuraya spa located on-site. Visitors can also participate in activities like Eco-Gardening to connect with the natural environment and learn about AlUla’s unique agricultural area.
