369 Art Gallery at Palazzo Bembo in Venice Presents “Re-Composing”

From the 13th of July through the 13th of August 2022, the “Re-Composing” exhibition will be on display at Venice’s 369 Art Gallery at Palazzo Bembo.

This July, 369 Art Gallery is thrilled to present an exhibition, featuring some of the greatest up-and-coming talents of the  Saudi art scene today. Illustrating the diversity of the Saudi cultural identity,  questioning the re-composition of the contemporary identity.

The fifteen young artists and twenty-seven artworks chosen for this exhibition explore the many styles, genres, and mediums that are universal within contemporary art. This exhibition will take place in one of the most important cities of art, Venice, under the umbrella of Venice Biennale 2022, from July 13th to  August 13th, 2022.

This exhibition dedicated to the Saudi visual artists introduces the concept of cultural recomposition and proposes its effects on group inter-action processes of the Artists.

By this curation, we are questioning the re-composition of art and the art of recomposition, a study made by different Saudi artists, from different perspectives, of their own cultural identity.

A cultural identity that has existed for thousands of years, a rich legacy and heritage, at the same time, so new to the world, that is discovering all its aspects.

The curatorial team led by Mona Al  Abdullah and Maya Al Abdullah have in their portfolio 50 art exhibitions, two festivals, and one Magnum award, for their  51st exhibition they did a serious work of research assisted by Cyrine Bettaleb Ali and Remo Ciucciomei, by inviting the  Saudi and Saudi based artists to explore the characteristics that determine our personal and social identity.

They construct a sense of who we are as individuals, as a society, or as a nation.  They question stereotypes and conventions while exploring attributes such as gender,  race, nationality, and heritage.

Join us this July to witness an inspirational and exciting display of the contemporary  Saudi art scene from these rising talents.
