Saudi Arabia is home to many malls but not all of them satisfy our cravings for food, shopping or even lifestyle needs.
Whether it’s a restaurant you went to when you were in New York or a product your friends from the UK use, there are some businesses which we wish would open in KSA. Here’s a list we compiled!
1. Nando’s
Whether it’s the Nando’s in Lusaka, Delhi or London, it doesn’t stop being delicious. We love the yummy juicy chicken and wish Nando’s would come back to Saudi Arabia! For those who are wondering, the restaurant originated in South Africa.
2. Chipotle Mexican Grill
Lovers of burritos and tacos will know the great stuff we’re missing out on! But sadly Chipotle is not a franchise company yet and we’re not sure if the big guys will move here anytime soon.
3. Five Guys
This casual restaurant is said to have some of the best burgers in America. The huge juicy burgers are apparently the best meal one could ever ask for, especially considering the perfect French fries they are served with! We must mention that Five Guys will be a nightmare for anyone with a peanut allergy, they fry everything in peanut oil and serve peanuts to their waiting customers!
4. Hard Rock Café
This themed music café is so famous that there are even songs about it! We’re not expecting it to open in Jeddah anytime soon but it’s good to dream. Just think about all the delicious burgers!
5. In-N-Out Burger
A cheat day classic, In-N-Out Burger competes well with Five Guys. You can order up to 4×4 of burger and cheese! In fact, you can get your burger cooked medium rare which is nearly unheard of in other fast food restaurants! If In-N-Out opens in Jeddah we’ll all have a new favorite in town.
6. Panda Express
American Chinese food, yes please!
7. Dôme Café
They have some of the best coffees and café menus around, so yes we want one in Jeddah! Besides, there’s no such thing as enough cafes.
8. Kuttab
A booklover’s coffee heaven! Reading while having some coffee in an actual café?! Yes please! It will make you fall in love with books and coffee all over again.
9. Hadoota Masreya Restaurant and Café
Famous in Dubai, this Middle Eastern restaurant will be much loved by our city’s food loving crowd. We are told that they have great karak tea and Egyptian food!
10. Harrods
Enough said. We need a proper, huge, gigantic Harrods in Jeddah.
11. Macy’s
From home décor to the perfect little black dress, Macy’s has almost everything a young woman might need!
12. Victoria’s Secret
We do have a few stores in the Kingdom but we’d like a proper one with FULL OPTIONS.
13. Sephora with all it’s brands!
That’s all. We love you Sephora. So why are you holding back?
14. PetSmart
Because our pets have needs too and we want to give them all the best things in the world!
15. Michaels Arts and Crafts
We’re tired of running to the souk and not finding our arts and craft supply needs. Michaels in Saudi Arabia will be a GREAT idea!
16. Khaadi
We love desi clothes and this colorful Pakistani brand will seriously be a great addition to the malls.
17. Sabs The Salon
Another Pakistani favorite is this salon which is said to have exceptional services for beauty and bridal care needs!
18. Community Gyms
There’s a serious need for gyms in Saudi Arabia. Obesity is a problem and there aren’t enough places for women from all walks of life to workout and burn calories. Going to the gym should not be a privilege.
19. Barnes and Nobles
Yes, yes, yes! Book lovers of Saudi Arabia are really tired of the limited supply of books in the stores. A Barnes and Nobles stores with ALL their products will be an awesome thing.
20. Kinokuniya
It’s a sad thing for a bookworm to know that going to the nearest Kinokuniya will require a flight ticket. We’d love a store right here in our beloved city!
