Under the auspices of the consort of the Governor of Riyadh region, Princess Nora bint Muhammad bin Saud Al Saud, Raffles Design in Riyadh celebrated the graduation of a new class of female students for the Saudi labor market.
Numbering 28 graduates, to meet the local demand for specialized skills in the field of fashion, jewelry design, visual communication, and many attractive skills in the labor market, the ceremony took place at the King Abdullah Financial District.
Dr. Wafaa Al Rasheed, Chairman of the Raffles Group Board of Directors, stated that the consort of the Governor of Riyadh region honoring the ceremony of the Raffles students comes from the care of the Governors and their keenness to support the various programs and activities that achieve the welfare of the citizen and contribute positively to raising the efficiency of the labor market, within the wise vision of the governors.
Dr. Wafaa emphasized that, as part of the female graduates following up policies, adopted by Raffles design, an inventory of female graduate employment has been made at the end of February 2020, and it has been found that the percentage has reached 90%, and some female graduates have started establishing their own businesses in the field of fashion design or jewelry.
Raffles offers multiple programs and advanced diplomas in the field of design, including fashion design – visual communication design – jewelry design, which are among the five licensed specializations provided by Raffles Design, in addition to 12 other specializations in the field of design needed by the labor market.
It is noteworthy that Raffles Design has many goals, including preparing female students to be leaders of excellence in the profession and society. It also gives students the opportunity to complete a bachelor’s degree in one of Raffles branches counting 35 universities and colleges around the globe, and about 22 thousand male and female students study within.
The educational environment of Raffles that is led by creativity, innovation and excellence, is keen to enrich the experience of students’ personal development and diversify the sources of personal experiences, so that the graduate eventually possesses advanced skills of communication and maturity that prepares her to go into the midst of work in practical and professional way.
