Rain, even the thought of it uplifts your spirits, brings cheer and gives relaxation to the mind and heart. How can anyone not take advantage of this wonderful blessing?
If you get caught in the storm just seconds from your destination? Well, that’s another story. We forget to soak up those precious moments given to us, like the feeling of rain against our skin.
Here are 6 reasons those who love the rain understands.
1. When the forecast show you this, a sense of relief and serenity washes over you.
2. Waking up to the sound of rain and feeling all cozy in bed.
3. And when everyone else is whining about the rainy weather, you know the truth: Rain is the best!
4. You are a firm believer in the fact that a little rain is always fun!
5. The sound of the vehicles driving past puddled roads, thepatter of rain against windowpanes, the sweet smell of wet sand is universally acknowledged as the most peaceful feeling in the world.
6. It’s the perfect excuse to devour some comfort food goodies *wink*.

Rain Water is blessed:
It is narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): That the rain fell from the heavens so he told his servant to bring out his mattress and saddle so that the rain may fall on it. {Mentioned in Imaam As-shafi’s book Al-Umm}
It is known that people often rejoice when rain falls; that is why Allah, The Almighty, says:
It is Sunnah to stand in the rain:
It is the practice of the Prophet (peace be upon him) to expose any portion of your body to the rain no matter how small the portion may be like one’s head or arms.
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that It rained upon us as we were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) unveiled his garment (from a part of his body) until the rain fell on him. We said: Messenger of Allah, why did you do this? He said: Because it (the rainfall) has just come from the Exalted Lord. {Saheeḥ Muslim, 898}
It is a Time when the Supplication is Answered:
There are many times and places where supplication is answered and one of them is when rain falls, as it said in the hadeeth of Sahl ibn Sa’d that is attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him):
“There are two which will not be rejected: supplication at the time of the call (to prayer) and when it is raining.”
{Narrated by Abu Dawood and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’ (3078)}
We are also instructed to pray for beneficial rain by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him):
It is narrated on the authority of ‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) who said that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw rain he would say:
“O Allah, bring beneficial rain clouds” – [al Bukhari]
