The First Saudi Hotel Technology Expo, opened its doors to visitors on November 30th, becoming a humble hub, featuring some of the greatest international companies in the market, which gave an opportunity to both investors, potential partners and customers with a one-stop destination to pure hospitality.
The three-day event was held under the patronage of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center, and brought together all the networking technologies, latest hotel equipment, security procedures, interior and exterior providers and information technologist to empower the advancement in the delivery and continuity of hotel technology.
Companies like Techno gym, Alfursan, Narcissus Hotel, Marriott Hotel were ready displayed and shared some of their ultimate products and services.Workshops were organized for anyone attending the event by world renowned names like Samsung, Phillips, Schneider Electric and Microsoft.
Saudi Arabia expects to complete 16,000 new hotel rooms in Riyadh and Jeddah by 2018, and a 400% increase in domestic tourism by 2019. The country’s tourism revenue is expected to reach a whopping $65bn by 2020 and its hospitality sector is forecasted to be worth $93bn in the next five years. According to the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), 149 new hotels will be completed across Saudi Arabia this 2015.
