Award-winning ROKA, recognized as the best Japanese restaurant in Riyadh, will be unveiling a brand-new Izakaya-style concept, starting 29th November; a first for the city. Inspired by Tokyo’s effusive energy, ROKA’s Izakaya Nights will be showcased every Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 pm until late.
An Izakaya, loosely translated, is a type of informal bar for friends and family to get together after work and catch up over beverages and a plethora of Japanese dishes, all served under one roof.
Ranging from small plates to more substantial dishes, guests are encouraged to order a variety of food to share.
At ROKA Riyadh, the new weekly fixture will embody Japan’s spirited culture, vibrancy, and creativity with a DJ and live percussionist setting the mood for an interactive evening.
Guests can enjoy unconventional dishes such as menbosha, seafood dumplings with milk bread and wasabi mayonnaise, beef katsu sando, deep-fried beef katsu sando with Japanese barbecue sauce, and chicken udon noodles, with soy, kewpee mayo, and bonito flakes from an a-la-carte menu.
The mixologists will create the most unique bottled mocktails and serve non-alcoholic beer. Ladies will receive a complimentary welcome mocktail on arrival.
