With an impressive performance at the Monaco E-Prix, Envision Racing’s Nick Cassidy, currently leading the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, remains focused on maintaining his consistency as he vies for the ultimate title.
Starting from ninth on the grid, the New Zealand driver showcased his exceptional skills, clinching victory in front of an enthusiastic crowd of over 20,000 spectators. Holding off his compatriot Mitch Evans, Cassidy’s triumph marked his second consecutive win after a stunning display in the Berlin double-header last month.
Despite holding a 20-point lead in the standings, Cassidy remains grounded and acknowledges that the season is far from over. His priority lies in maintaining a steady performance to secure his bid for the world championship, with his sights set on the upcoming double-header in Jakarta, Indonesia on June 3 and 4.
Reflecting on his Monaco victory, Cassidy expressed his satisfaction with his recent performances and emphasized the need for consistency: “Leading the championship feels fantastic, and I’m pleased with how I’ve been performing. However, there’s still a long way to go, and the physical demands of the back-to-back races in Jakarta will test us.”
With Envision Racing also topping the team standings by 13 points, Cassidy acknowledges the strong performances of his teammate, Sebastien Buemi, and the team’s collective effort. He remains confident that their consistent success on the track will propel them towards championship glory.
Cassidy concluded, “We have every reason to be confident as a team. Sebastien has shown great potential and, with his contribution, we will fight for the title together.”
As the Formula E season continues its thrilling journey, all eyes will be on Nick Cassidy as he aims to maintain his extraordinary form and solidify his position at the top of the championship standings.
