A new trailer has been released for ‘Kandahar,’ the first major US film to shoot in Saudi Arabia’s AIUla region, directed by Ric Roman Waugh and starring Gerard Butler.

The latest full-length trailer for the upcoming action thriller ‘Kandahar’ has been released, giving viewers a glimpse into the heart-pumping adventure directed by Ric Roman Waugh and starring Gerard Butler, Ali Fazal, Travis Fimmel, and Navid Negahban.

The movie is a landmark achievement, as it was the first major US film to shoot in the stunning AIUla region of Saudi Arabia. ‘Kandahar’ will be released in the Middle East by Eagle Films on 26 May 2023.

The film features a collaboration of G-BASE, Thunder Road, Capstone Studios, and MBC Studios and reunites Gerard Butler and director Ric Roman Waugh in the story of Tom Harris (Butler), an undercover CIA operative who finds himself trapped in hostile territory in Afghanistan. When his mission is exposed, he must fight alongside his Afghan translator to an extraction point in Kandahar. All the while, they must avoid elite enemy forces and foreign spies tasked with hunting them down.
