Fashion enthusiasts and eco-conscious shoppers in Jeddah eagerly anticipate the fourth edition of the Swap Shop, a sustainable fashion event set to take place from November 28th to December 2nd, 2023, at Le Prestige Mall. 

Organized by the Fashion Commission in collaboration with YOOX NET-A-PORTER and esteemed partners, the event seeks to revolutionize fashion consumption habits by encouraging clothes and accessories swapping to combat fashion waste. During the five-day event from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, participants can exchange gently used items for tokens, granting access to a unique shopping experience divided into fast fashion and luxury sections. Interactive workshops by Taqia will focus on customizing clothing.

Admission is free but requires registration through the official website swap-shop.com. The event will have nine daily rounds, each lasting 30 minutes, for restocking. Guests can also drop off clothing two days prior for convenient entry.

Launched during the Fashion Futures Summit in 2022, the Swap Shop has become a driving force in promoting sustainability within the fashion industry. The 2022 edition drew over 1,300 visitors and facilitated nearly 1,000 swaps, showcasing the growing appeal of sustainable fashion choices.

The initiative’s goal is to educate and inspire consumers while fostering a culture of sustainability, raising awareness about the environmental impact of fashion choices.
