McDonald’s Serves Up Leadership Opportunities.

The Guest Experience Leader (GEL) Program

The GEL Program is a newly created position supporting the McDonald’s hospitality culture being entrenched in all its restaurants. The GEL position is just one of many tools they are utilizing to improve and enhance the overall customer experience in their stores, and is reserved for young Saudi women looking to enter the workforce and be productive in a fast-growing industry. This is just the beginning of their efforts to elevate and expand their Saudization program.

Development & Career Path

Training and development is not only a priority within McDonald’s, it is also an ongoing effort that takes place across all functions and areas of the business. “It is in our DNA, and we recognize that our most important asset is our People.We offer both international grade training that is offered as part of the McDonald’s system, but we also offer bespoke training programs designed specifically for our Saudi employees looking to develop and grow within our organization,” said a spokesperson for McDonald’s.

For those who show high potential and demonstrate the right attitude and values, they have programs such as the Fast Track program specifically designed to speed up development and career paths. This program aims to develop a young Saudi from a Manager Trainee position to a store manager position within 24 months, a process which would normally take up to 5 or 6 years.
