The fourth weekend of eight-week long Gamers8: The Land of Heroes, the biggest gaming and esports festival worldwide, is upon us. And what a weekend ahead. 

Gamers8 features elite esports tournaments, live concerts, a huge variety of entertainment activities for all ages, and much, much more. 

But how to make the most of Gamers8, which is organized by the Saudi Esports Federation, this weekend? Here’s eight things everyone should check out: 

Dota 2 Riyadh Masters:

It’s here – the Dota 2 Riyadh Masters’ final. Back at Boulevard Riyadh City even bigger and better following last year’s remarkable debut tournament, the Dota2 Riyadh Masters concludes on Sunday. The deepest multi-player action, real-time strategy (RTS) game ever created and one of the world’s biggest esports titles, the Dota2 final at Gamers8: The Land of Heroes is simply unmissable. With teamwork, skill, a little luck, and the discovery of new tactics, players have worked together in teams of five to progress through the 12-day tournament for the chance to emerge victorious. Twenty of the planet’s most formidable teams have been battling it out for a jaw-dropping $15 million prize pool – the biggest of the 15 tournaments being held this summer at Gamers8: The Land of Heroes. But there is only one winner that walks away with a cool $5 million, so join us on Sunday to see who exactly takes that incredible sum AND global glory. 

Week 4 Concerts – Imagine Dragons, Mishaal Tamer, Loush, Autostrad:

“Welcome to the new age!” Sold out for weeks, it’s the concert Riyadh (and the rest of the region) have been waiting for. That’s because Imagine Dragons – the Grammy Award-winning rockers behind hit tunes such as ‘Radioactive’ and ‘Believer’ – headline an incredible July 28 lineup. The fantastic Friday night Gamers8 lineup at the Mohammed Abdu Arena at Boulevard Riyadh City also features Mishaal Tamer, who helped create the Gamers8: The Land of Heroes official anthem. He’s joined by Saudi-born DJ Loush and Jordanian band Autostrad. 

R8 District at Takenda & Peaks Camp at Takenda:

It’s game on at the brand-new additions – so get ready to play and party with the R8 Esports team at Gamers8: The Land of Heroes! Go on a VIP guest tour, join a FIFA challenge, or challenge the R8 team and play laser tag with your friends – the R8 options at Takenda, which opens daily from 6-9pm and 10.30pm-1.30am, are up to you. 

Alternatively, are you a fan of the Peaks Esports team? And do you like arcade games? Then bring your A-game and challenge your friends or your favorite Peaks player at the most popular arcade games about. Peaks Camp at Takenda also opens daily from 6-9pm and 10.30pm-1.30am. 

Abo Falah’s World:

Another new addition to Gamers8: The Land of Heroes, Abo Falah and friends will go through a list of live Middle Eastern YouTube and Twitch Streamers and donate to them live. Fans vote live and choose precisely what Abo Falah and friends should donate and what message to send them in their live chat. Abo Falah’s World opens daily from 6-8pm and 10pm until midnight. 

Holograms:

Gamers8 is all about experiencing things that make a difference to your life. And this is definitely one of them! Experience the future with Holograms and see 3D images come to life in front of your eyes and immerse yourself in a new dimension. Horror House at Falcon HQ:

Go on, we dare you. If Gamers8 is all about fun, then the Horror House at Falcon HQ is just about getting out alive. Because at what feels like every turn – trust on this, at one point we all thought about just shutting our eyes and making a run for it – there are real, live zombies in the scariest of scary horror houses. And ghouls and horrors of all descriptions. So, while this is a brilliant attraction – don’t say we didn’t warn you.
