The second day of Diriyah Company’s Bashayer event continued the momentum set by its successful opening, introducing a series of remarkable assets that seamlessly integrate the past, present, and future.
Diriyah Company’s dedication to sustainability was exemplified by the completion of rejuvenation works across more than 6km of Wadi Hanifah. This project not only enhances the natural landscape but also showcases Diriyah Company’s commitment to a sustainability-first approach in its built environment, while focusing on the quality of life for residents and visitors to “Diriyah, The City of Earth.”
Diriyah Art Futures was introduced as the first center in the region dedicated to new media arts. Located at the heart of Diriyah, it serves as the ideal space for creative exchange, offering exhibition space, educational programs at the intersection of arts, science, and technology, and a state-of-the-art laboratory for artists to experiment and produce amazing artworks.
Diriyah Company and the Royal Commission for Riyadh City announced the Royal Diriyah Opera House, showcasing the Kingdom’s cultural richness and heritage. Set to be a key element of the second phase of the Diriyah masterplan, the Opera House will be of 45,000 square meters, reflecting the authentic Najdi architectural style and the highest sustainability standards.
Visitors at the Bashayer event had the opportunity to explore Diriyah’s rich history and culture. Four luxury hotels, including The Ritz-Carlton Diriyah, Address Diriyah, Capella Diriyah, and Four Seasons Hotel Diriyah, broke ground, showcasing the progress of Diriyah’s Hospitality Practice. Additionally, Bab Samhan, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Diriyah, stood out for its authentic Najdi experience, offering a luxurious stay with a deep connection to the cultural heart of Diriyah.
Jerry Inzerillo, Group CEO and hospitality leader, emphasized the significance of the Bashayer event, stating, “As we move closer towards our masterplan goals, we have now firmly entered the delivery phase, and our offering will only continue to grow.”
