For a fun safari experience, head to Nofa Wildlife Park in the middle of a desert where you can come face to face with some of the fastest, tallest, and cutest animals at this Arabian safari drive-through. Some of the aviary open enclosures allow you the chance to walk through, feed, pet, and pose for a photo with the animals.

The Nofa Wildlife Park is open during the winter months and is only accessible on Saturdays through advance booking.

Wander along Ad  Diriyah—one of the most famous old shopping streets—to find several antiques, bisht, and farwa shops convened. Not only do the shoppers get to buy the traditional outerwear, but they also get to watch the tailors working on the ornamental gold hems of the bishts.

There is nothing as exciting as stumbling across a fossil that dates back hundreds of millions of years.

Surprisingly, you can find fossils of shark teeth, the most prevalent type of fossil along with seashells; showing that this land was once part of the sea.

The combination of water and greenery make Lake Park one of the best spots for a day out in the fresh air, walking or running the perimeter, or simply relaxing and enjoying the view.

Featuring a gushing cascade, this reservoir almost 40 minutes away from Riyadh is a great way to escape the daily grind.

Heet Cave Wadi Sulay is a cave that shelters an underground lake with crystal clear waters.

With the amazing weather we have going, it would be a shame to miss out on Riyadh’s urbanesque hues and sunset views. Here’s a list of our favorite walking paths, so pause the scrolling and start strolling:

DQ Walk Trail
Great for all fitness levels, you can walk a portion of it or explore the entire 14km perimeter.

U Walk
Its long stretch lined with cafes and restos will help you hit your step target and reward yourself in the end.

King Abdullah Walkways
Has free fitness machines for the public and charging stations. The landscaping here is well-maintained, you’ll definitely stop to smell the flowers.

PSMC Walk Path
Also offering exercise stations. There’s even markings on the pavement to let you know how much ground you’ve covered.
