Marjan Island (Coral Island)

It’s an artificial island that was established about two decades ago off the coast of Dammam, with plenty of green spaces, seating areas and children’s playgrounds. Sure, you can get to it by its road connection, but why pass up the chance to take one of the sea ferries that regularly run between the Corniche and the island? There are also special lunch and dinner cruises in the sea, so treat your family to a little nautical adventure this weekend.

Tarout Castle

Built in the early 16th century, Tarout Castle is located in the center of Tarout Island, off the coast of Qatif. This island’s heritage is ancient, considering that its history dates back more than 7,000 years ago! You have to come check this out just to get a heavy dose of blast from the past.

Uqair Port and Beach

Uqair is one of the most important heritage sites around, located on the Gulf coast about 40 kilometers from the city of Hofuf. Uqair Beach is a beautiful coastline and a big hit with fans of the outdoors and water sports.

Jabal Al Qarrah (Qarrah Mountain)

A key landmark of Al Ahsa, Jabal Al Qarrah boasts numerous caves and unique massive formations of rocks and boulders. The limestone caves in particular are a must-see for visitors. The best part? They have a distinctive quality of staying cool in hot weather and warm in the winter. Time to move in!

Al Fanateer Beach

Al Fanateer Beach is a recent addition to the Jubail area, sprawling with vast green spaces, comfortable walkways, various children’s games, mosques and cafes and restaurants overlooking the Arabian Gulf. A lot of recreational activities are held there, such as fishing and boating competitions, diving competitions and all the water sports you desire.
