Marking the end of the Holy month of Ramadan, Eid Al Fitr is centered around togetherness, with celebrations including family visits, feasts, and gifting between family and friends. The electronic Amazon.sa Eid Gift Cards offer a modern twist on ‘eiddeyyah’, the popular gift-giving Eid Al Fitr custom between family and friends. Amazon.sa Eid Gift Cards give shoppers the chance to choose what they want or need this Eid, from a selection of millions of local and international products across categories such as jewelry, fashion, electronics, and many more, while conveniently using the gift cards to pay for their purchases.
Alaa Al-Bukhari started her artistic career a few years ago, studying fine arts and graphic design, quickly developing her skills and turning them into a profession with the launch of many seasonal products on holidays and public occasions. Her designs for the electronic Gift Cards were inspired by the Saudi identity rooted in history and diverse in various regions.
Commenting on this collaboration, Saudi illustrator Alaa Al-Bukhari said: “I feel very proud of this collaboration, and I would like to thank Amazon for giving me the opportunity to represent my work on this special occasion that brings happiness to many people. I hope that my designs will help inspire emerging artists not only in Saudi Arabia but all over the world.”
For young Saudi painter Majd Jaha, it is the second year she is working with Amazon.sa on its electronic Eid Gift Cards, following the success of her artworks last year. Jaha showed a passion for drawing from an early age, launching the Majd Studio for Designs and Arts in 2018 to enrich Arab artistic content. In her electronic Gift Card designs, Majd was able to combine different elements of Saudi architecture and fashion from different regions, while including elements that represent the joy of Eid and its traditions collection this season.
Majd Jaha expressed her pride in continuing her cooperation with Amazon: “My first participation in designing electronic ‘eiddeyyah’ gift cards on Amazon.sa had a great impact on the spread of my artwork around the Kingdom. We are continuing this cooperation with a passion to spread happiness with Amazon customers on one of the most important occasions, I thank Amazon for this golden opportunity.”
Ronaldo Mouchawar, Vice President for Amazon Middle East and North Africa (MENA), said: “At Amazon, we always look to bring diverse backgrounds, ideas, and points of view into everything we do. With Eid being one of the most important celebrations of the year for audiences across the Saudi, we are excited to be joining in on the celebrations while introducing customers to Alaa and Majd’s incredible talent as local Saudi artists.
