Coming to Jeddah’s stage soon, WWE star Neville, tells us about his pro wrestling career and WWE moments.

How did you get into pro wrestling?
I was a wrestling fanatic since I was introduced to it at a very young age. When I turned 18 I found a pro wrestling school in my hometown in Newcastle, and that’s when I began training.

How did you get the title, ‘The Man That Gravity Forgot’?
It was a name given to me once. It’s basically about my acrobatic wrestling spell and defying the laws of gravity.

What is a typical training day like?
We wake up early, head off to the gym where we do conditioning and bodybuilding. And then we wrestle at a show. It’s pretty intense – 16 hours a day, five days a week.

What has been one of your most memorable moments in the ring?
Oh this is difficult to answer. I would say wrestling with Seth Rollins for the WWE Monday night RAW championship. I almost won that match. Another one would be wrestling with John Cena also on Monday night RAW championship. It was a huge moment as John Cena is an international star. I got to challenge myself with that match.

Who’s your all time favorite wrestler?
I would say Eddie Guerrero is my favorite because he
’s similar in style to me. He’s a well-rounded smaller guy. He influenced me as he wrestles in a similar way.

How has WWE changed your pro wrestling career?
It has certainly given me more exposure. People worldwide now know me and I have the opportunity to travel and wrestle in many countries including Saudi Arabia.

What are some common misconceptions people have about pro wrestling?
There are a lot of rumors surrounding wrestling. A lot of people easily judge and call it fake. If they were to come to the matches, live our life, see the schedule demands, they’d realize how serious it is.

Any message for your fans in Saudi Arabia?
This will be my first time in Saudi Arabia. It will be a huge night and huge tour. WWE and I are very excited and we hope to see you all at the show!
