The ongoing Spring Festival has transformed the dry desert landscape of Riyadh in to a spectacular and refreshing delight to the eyes. One of the must-visit places in Riyadh, the festival is known for its traditional flower bed fashioned in varied shapes. This pretty natural bounty in the middle of a desert really stuns you.
The festival is expected to continue until the 23rd of this month and has attracted the attention of hundreds of visitors already.
Here are the 5 best things we liked about it:
1. Spectacular Flower Mat
As you step into this mind blowing recreational spot, you’ll soon discover the 500 meters long flower mat.
This flower mat is the major attraction of the festival and is adorned with a vivid range of floral selections.
2. Family leisure space
It‘s an ideal space for all the members of a family to enjoy their day in their own way. You can have a nice walk around the beautiful landscaped park or simply sit and relax surrounded by the breath-taking view of the flowers.
3. Fresh Flower Head Garlands
The fresh flower shops selling fresh flowers bouquets and head garlands were crowded by enthusiastic buyers. The head garlands looked so cute that we couldn’t stop ourselves from buying one.
4. The walking fountain bridge
Ok! It might sound childish, but we really liked it.
5. The Food Court
Ah! Need I say more?!
DR recommends: It’s good to be fed but make sure you are ready for some crowd surfing, you know what we’re saying *wink, make that double wink wink *
Opening Hours: It is open from 4 pm to 11:30 pm until March 23rd, 2016
Venue: Al-Bijairi Quarter in Al-Diraiyyah and Al-Jazirah District at Exit 16.
