Four years after the first two Saudi female athletes paved the way to the Olympics, Saudi Arabia has established the Women’s Division in the General Sports Authority.
Spear heading this division as its vice president, is Princess Reema bint Bandar.
The Riyadh-born royal has been one of the driving forces behind many women’s empowerment initiatives, most recently being responsible for setting the record for the World’s Largest Humanitarian Ribbon to raise awareness for breast cancer prevention.
