Jeddah, KSA: January 26, 2021 – Texas Chicken in partnership with the Olayan Food Division has announced the grand opening of its first-ever restaurant in Jeddah.texas-chicken-opens-its-first-ever-store-in-jeddah_8

Located at Town Square, Abdullah Sulayman St, the Texas Chicken™ menu will bring guests delicious innovation and delectable menu items all based on big, bold, crave-able flavors inspired by Texas itself. The chicken is 100 percent fresh Saudi-raised and Halal certified.

“We are so excited to be bringing Texas Chicken™ to Jeddah for the very first time and we can’t wait to introduce the flavorful, legendary tastes of Texas to our new guests,” said Kevin Corning, the Executive Vice President, International Business of the brand.texas-chicken-opens-its-first-ever-store-in-jeddah_9

“Texas Chicken has always believed there’s no substitute for flavor. That’s why we work cooperatively with all of our franchisees, chefs, and vendors to keep creating more and more new, crave-worthy ways for guests to enjoy bold Texas flavor.”

Among the authentic flavor profiles that Texas Chicken excels at bringing to the table are spicy pepper blends worked into marinades and sauces, as well as rich, smoky dishes that taste as though they’ve come straight from a Texas BBQ pitmaster.texas-chicken-opens-its-first-ever-store-in-jeddah_1

Mitch Langston, Senior Director of International Marketing for the brand, further explains the Texas traditions represented on the menu. “We know that people from all walks of life in this part of the world love fried chicken,” said Langston. But, with Texas Chicken’s focus on bringing the flavorful legendary taste of Texas to the world, it also means we’re continuously pushing the boundaries with bold, innovative flavors.  This means we may have a completely different take on fried chicken that’s incredibly delicious, exciting, and distinctive. Consumers’ desire for ‘something new yet familiar’ is a huge driver behind our menu innovation and new product features.”

A great example of pushing the boundaries of bold Texas flavor with a twist is 8 Pepper Chicken, hand-breaded marinated chicken, marinated in and glazed with a sweet and sassy 8-pepper sauce, made from classic Texas staples like jalapeno, chipotle, ancho, black pepper, red chilis, and cayenne, but with Szechuan and Thai green chili peppers, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions. texas-chicken-opens-its-first-ever-store-in-jeddah_6

“The message we want everyone to know is that Texas Chicken truly is for everyone,” said Khalid Al Ghamdi, Vice President for Olayan Food Division, a regional franchisee. “We are proud our chicken is sourced from Saudi and is Halal. Our menu also takes the bold spirit of Texas and makes it fresh, appealing, and familiar to our guests while also offering new tastes that are creative and crave-worthy. Great food that brings people together with the same way Texas Chicken is bringing the flavorful, legendary, tastes of Texas to the world.”

To further emphasize that Texas Chicken is the go-to destination for go-big, go-bold flavor, the brand’s menu design has also changed. Guests will see close-up food photography, a simplified and accessible menu structure to make it easy for guest to find products, with more descriptive categories that reinforce the unique bold flavors and hand-made quality of Texas Chicken products, expressed in the brand’s new typographic style that reflects confidence and outgoing personality. texas-chicken-opens-its-first-ever-store-in-jeddah_5
