The Tourism Development Fund (TDF) celebrated the accomplishments of the first cohort of its “TDF Grow Accelerator” program during a demo day and exhibition at the KAFD Conference Center in Riyadh. The event drew a wide audience, including investment pioneers, entrepreneurs, media representatives, and key stakeholders interested in tourism investments.
Qusai Al-Fakhri, CEO of TDF, emphasized the importance of such programs in fostering innovation and sustainable development within Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector. His sentiments were shared through a speech delivered by His Highness Prince Saud Bin Mohammed, Executive Director of TDF Grow, who spoke on Al-Fakhri’s behalf. “We are proud of what these distinguished startups have accomplished during their journey within the TDF Grow Accelerator Program,” Prince Saud said. “This success reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting entrepreneurial ideas and promising initiatives that contribute to efficiently implementing the national tourism strategy and reinforcing the Kingdom’s standing as a global tourism destination.”
Over several months, the program guided and trained emerging startups, offering more than 20 sessions to support their development. A total of 15 projects participated in the program, including 11 local startups and four regional and international ventures. The initiative has already contributed significant value to Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector, with participating startups successfully attracting over SAR 18 million in investments.
The event concluded with a presentation showcasing the innovative tourism projects nurtured through the program. These projects represent a new wave of entrepreneurial talent poised to contribute to the Kingdom’s national tourism objectives.
