Saudi Arabia bags another Guinness World Record

The Kingdom is no stranger to Guinness World records and has set yet another one this week.

The latest Saudi Guinness World Record was made during the 94th Saudi National Day celebrations in Diriyah.

The first-ever capital of the Kingdom lit up green and white with projections about Saudi Arabian history before the record-making performance.

It involved multiple Amazon Echo dots synchronized to perform the Saudi National anthem and other patriotic songs making it the largest virtual assistant show in the world.

The Diriyah celebrations had Saudi heritage at the forefront and involved traditional performances, projections about the Kingdom’s past on mud brick walls, and of course Saudi coffee.

Saudi Guinness World Record 2024

The Kingdom was alive with the sound of celebrations during the four-day Saudi National Day weekend. The streets were packed with waving flags and restaurants filled with people dressed in their best traditional garb.

KAFD had an entire fireworks display after an exciting drone show took over Riyadh’s skies.

Diriyah brought its own traditional spin on the day and set a brand-new record in the process.

The new record was set at Bujairi Terrace in Diriyah.

The latest addition to the Kingdom’s growing collection of records involved 500 Amazon Echo devices being synchronized to play the Saudi National anthem. The performance also featured other patriotic songs. The extraordinary became the largest virtual assistant show in the world.

Other Saudi Guinness World Records

Saudi Arabia has been bagging world records left, right, and center, with nine new ones in 2023 alone. These included the most LED lights in a display at the Big Beast stage at MDLBEAST Soundstorm, the most simultaneous illusions of a person (five) at Riyadh Season‘s Mohammad Abdo concert, and AlUla’s Maraya becoming the largest mirrored building in the world.
