Its time to become a Pokémon master.
Boulevard City has is slated to host some fantastic experiences. From the magical Harry Potter activation to the Hans Zimmer concert, the now-permanent Riyadh Season zone is ready to be packed with wonderful things to do for the rest of the winter festival.
Now, the zone’s billboards are preparing to change screens to your favorite Pokémon because Pokémon Go is finally launching in Saudi Arabia.
The AR game was first launched in 2016 and had immediately become a hit with hoards of people descending the streets to catch Balbasaur, Charizard, Squirtle, and others.
Now the game is entering Saudi Arabia with a fun event in November.
So grab your phones and open your app stores. Here is everything you need to know to catch the inauguration.
Pokémon Go Saudi Arabia
In partnership with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, Niantic created and released Pokémon Go, an augmented reality mobile game for iOS and Android smartphones in 2016. It uses GPS-enabled mobile devices to find, catch, train, and fight virtual Pokémon that mimic the player’s actual location. The game is free to play and allows in-app payments for extra in-game content. By the end of 2024, there were about 870 Pokémon species in the game, up from about 150 at launch.
Pokémon Go location
The launch will take place under the bright lights of Boulevard City in Hittin.
Pokémon Go date
The ball will start rolling on Friday, November 8.
