Saudi Arabia’s motorsport scene brings back the third edition of the Saudi Toyota Championship, a thrilling event organized by the Saudi Arabian Motorsports Federation.

This exciting championship has marked a significant milestone in the country’s racing domain and runs across seven cities across Saudi Arabia. The championship features an array of thrilling car and motorcycle disciplines, showcasing the talent of racers in rallies, drag racing, autocross, drifting, time attack, and hill climbs.

Among the passionate racers, we at Destination KSA are proud to announce that we are the official Media sponsor of Orjwan Ammar, a 24-year-old Saudi Rally Racer. An entrepreneur and creative thinker, Ammar is diving into the realm of rally racing, embracing the challenges and noting down a remarkable journey in the world of Rally Racing.

Ammar’s entrepreneurial background equips her with the precision, strategic thinking, and adaptability crucial for rally racing. Her innate ability to innovate, think outside the box and make quick decisions, honed through years in the business world, serves as a vital point on the racetrack. Despite venturing into a new environment, Ammar’s tenacity and forward-thinking approach set her apart, allowing her to transform challenges into amazing opportunities.

Her journey into rally racing began unexpectedly, stumbling upon a registration post for Rally Jameel. This sudden encounter sparked her passion, which pushed her towards Rally Tabuk-NEOM, where she showcased her driving skills, securing a notable second place. Ammar’s resilience and determination drive her to succeed, as she continues to hone her skills and take on more challenges.

Each race includes four main days, the first day being Scrutineering, followed by a day for Prologue, then finally comes the race days, where the official race takes place. During Scrutineering, all the important checks and tests take place, where the car, the drivers’ kit and equipment are thoroughly tested to see whether they meet all FIA requirements, and all safety measures are taken in order to participate in the race. As for Prologue, an opening ceremony takes place along with a short 4km race, which determines the starting positions of each driver during the two final race days.  

The recent Saudi Toyota Championship race took place in Qassim where everyone witnessed Ammar’s thrilling driving endeavor over two action-packed days.Once concluding the Scrutineering and Prologue, the two race days covered diverse terrains and distances. Despite the challenges, Ammar displayed her skills, securing a noteworthy 3rd position on the first race day and a 4th position on the subsequent day, concluding with an overall 4th position in the T4 category. She also won best female crew in this rally.

Ammar’s journey serves as an inspiration to many young women, showcasing that with determination, hard work and the willingness to to keep pushing, any dream can turn into reality. Orjwan Ammar’s story showcases the resilience, determination and passion she holds, marking her as a rising talent in Saudi Arabia’s motorsport scene.
