Need for Speed: Delivery Challenge

Delivery has always been the bane of every Riyadhi’s existence, so we’re taking out the pain and delivering the gain.

We all love a good take out restaurant, but sometimes you just want to eat something right now. A reliable delivery time is almost non-existent around here, something we all know to be inherently true. If you’re ordering food and you’re in a hurry, be prepared to make two to seven phone calls inquiring about the status of your meal to an agitated delivery guy.

To spare you the unnecessary misery of your tortured empty stomach, we’ve decided to test out exactly how fast some of our fast food restaurants really are. We’ve picked a few of the most widespread fast food restaurants that you would probably have within delivery distance, and narrowed the selection pool even more by only considering restaurants with an online ordering option to minimize your human interaction when you’re hangry (hungry/angry).

FIRST PLACE – DOMINO’S

Delivery Fee: SR 5

Human Interaction: Unnecessary contact – confirmation call and multiple direction inquiries.

We feel it’s important to note that delivery time can also vary depending on how busy the restaurant is at that time. Since we ordered for lunch, dinner orders may take longer. Also, we’d like to give KUDO, which came in fifth place, some props because they’re the only healthy alternative that’s considered fast food.
